Our H.E.R. agents are dedicated to making sure your experience is exceptional in every way.

Booking Basics

How much does it cost?

The cost for Standard Bookings is $28 per person, plus tax. Each room has a different minimum player requirement. Once the minimum player requirement has been reached, your booking will be accepted and you will be prompted to pay for it.

The cost for Corporate Bookings is $35 per person, plus tax, if you would like to book our Team Bonding package and $50 per person, plus tax, if you would like to book our Team Building package. The Team Building package includes a Team Building discussion after your hour in the room, with complimentary refreshments.

How many people can I book for?

Each room has a different minimum and maximum number of players allowed. Most of our rooms fit between 4 - 10 people (Episodes 1 - 3); we have one that fits between 2-6 (Episode 5) and one that fits between 4 - 11 (Episode 4). If you book for fewer than the minimum player amount and the booking does not have any other players, the booking will not yet be accepted, and you will not be prompted to pay. Once the booking reaches the minimum player requirement, you will receive a confirmation email and be able to pay. If you would like to book for more than 11 people, we suggest booking multiple challenges.

For Corporate Bookings, you can book anywhere from 4 to 47 people. If you book any more than the maximum for a single room, your group will split up into different groups to attempt multiple rooms at the same time.

What if I do not book all available player slots?

For Standard Bookings, any spots that are not purchased are open for any other person to book. You are welcome to book all the tickets if you want to keep your challenge private, but we do think it is a fun way to meet new people!

For Corporate Bookings, your challenge is private, so any spots that are not purchased are not open for any other person to book.

Booking Details

Do you only accept reservations? Can we walk in?

We highly encourage you to make a reservation to guarantee spots for your group. You can reserve a booking here on our website. You can also call us at (832)786-9323, and we will be happy to manually create your reservation. If you would like to call us to make your reservation, please have your contact information and credit card details prepared. If you don't see what you need on our website, call or email us and we will do our best to help!

Since our bookings are public and available for reservation on our website, some of our bookings may have already been reserved if your team walks in. We can certainly check our availability and determine if we can accommodate your group. However, availability is not guaranteed. Please know that we only accept electronic payment and do not accept cash or check.

How far in advance can/should I book?

You can book for the current month and the following two months. Bookings become unavailable for reservation one hour before they start.

If you have a date and time in mind, we recommend booking as soon as possible! Weekends are the most popular time for bookings, so we recommend booking a week or two in advance.

The date and time I want is unavailable. Can I be put on a waiting list for that session?

Yes, if a booking is full or if your group size won't fit into a room, you can click on the button next to the session time to join the waiting list. If the other customers cancel their reservation, you'll be contacted by email to make you booking! If you are flexible in your time, feel free to call us or email us and we'll see if we can still squeeze you in!

Feel free to check back on our booking page at any time too, availability of open sessions are subject to change, and current availability will always be accurately reflected on our website.

What if I do not know all the names of the people going?

Fill out the names to the best of your ability or you can input "Guest 1; Guest 2" and so forth. Please tell all your guests that they need to check in under the name who made the booking. If any of the participants change, you can edit the names in your booking until 48 hours before your booking through the email you received from our booking software or you can email us at any time with the updated list of participants.

I have already booked but not been prompted to pay. How do I pay?

If you booked for fewer than the minimum player amount and the booking has fewer than the minimum overall, the booking will not yet be accepted, and you will not be prompted to pay. Once the booking reaches the minimum player requirement, you will receive a confirmation email and be able to pay.

If this is not the case, please contact us at info@houstonescaperoom.com or give us a call and we will assist you.

Booking Types

What types of booking experiences do you offer?

We offer Standard Bookings and Corporate Bookings. Standard Bookings are for teams of 4-11 (11 for our Episode 4: Dark Side of the Moon) people, are held in the evenings on Tuesdays through Fridays and all day on Saturdays and Sundays, and are open to the public. Corporate Bookings are for teams of 4-47 people, are held between 10 am and 4/6 pm (depending on the day), and are private. To read more information about the different booking experiences, click here.

Can my booking be private?

Standard Bookings are normally open to the public. If you would like your event to be private, you can check the “Private event” checkbox when creating your booking. Selecting this option will book all the tickets in a booking and make you pay for these tickets.

Corporate Bookings are private and do not require that you book out more tickets than there are people.

Can I book a team-building event in the evening/on the weekend?

If your team is only available in the evening or on the weekend, you are welcome to book our Standard Bookings. The experience in the room is the same, so you can still have a team-building experience! Unlike Corporate Bookings, Standard Bookings are open to the public and are staggered by 15 to 30 minutes. If your team has more than the maximum for the room, you can book multiple sessions. Your team will split into different groups to attempt different rooms.
If you'd like to book out the venue for a large event or sync up rooms in the eveningn for a private corporate event, please contact us and we'll work with you to see if we can accommodate your needs!

Escape Rooms

What are the themes of your escape rooms?

Descriptions for each of our escape rooms are available here.

Which room do you recommend? Is there an order to them?

Though the rooms are episodic, there is not a specific order in which to do them. All of our rooms are fun, and we hope that you find time to be able to attempt each and every one of them!

Which room is the easiest? Which room is the hardest?

We do not create escape rooms to be any more difficult than the other. Our escape rooms are at about the same difficulty and have comparable success rates.

How challenging is it? What happens if we don’t get out in time?

Our escape rooms are challenging. Most people do not escape within the one hour time limit. If you escape, you can feel pretty good about how well you and your team worked together. If you don’t, that’s okay -- we will go over all the answers with you after the hour is up!

Bringing kids or just your first time? Try Casual Mode!

Our escapes rooms are a fun challenge for groups of all ages. However, for groups that would like to experience the escape room with some extra help, we offer Casual Mode. Casual Mode allows your team to ask for helpful hints at any time from the facilitator in the room. There is no limit to how much help you can receive. This is only for private sessions where completing the mission is more important than competing for a winning time. Any groups that choose Casual Mode will not be eligible for a spot on our Leaderboards.

Will we really be locked in the room?

No, for fire safety reasons, all escape rooms will remain unlocked. Additionally, there will be a facilitator in the room with you.

Is there an age limit?

No, our escape rooms are accessible to all ages. Children under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the liability waiver for them. You do not need to purchase a ticket for children under 2 years of age.

Is the business wheelchair-accessible?

Yes, there is a ramp along the front of the building facing Jackson St.

Gift Vouchers

Where can I purchase a gift voucher?

Gift vouchers are available for purchase here. All of them are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.

For how long are gift vouchers valid?

How do I redeem a gift voucher?

Gift vouchers can be redeemed here.

When should I arrive for my booking?

Sessions begin at the exact start time of the booking. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled booking. This gives you enough time to find and pay for parking, use the restroom, and sign our liability waiver.

Customers who are more than 15 minutes late to their booking time may not be allowed to join the game and will not receive a refund.

Can we bring in our cell phones?

Any electronic devices, such as cell phones and cameras, are not allowed to be used during the game and inside of the escape room. They can be stored in a locker before your challenge begins in order to preserve the integrity of your experience. You may store any other belongings such as purses or bags, if they fit in our lockers.

Can we bring food and drinks?

Food and drinks are not allowed in the escape rooms. If you would like any recommendations on places to dine before your escape room experience, we highly recommend Jackson Street Barbeque and Irma’s Original for good eats.
